How To Use Solifen 5 mg tablet

Precautions
Other causes of frequent urination should be thoroughly assessed before starting treatment with solifenacin succinate. Solifenacin succinate should be used with caution in patients with clinically significant bladder outflow obstruction at risk of urinary retention, gastrointestinal obstructive disorders, risk of decreased gastrointestinal motility, severe renal impairment, moderate hepatic impairment, concomitant use of a potent CYP3A4 inhibitor, hiatus hernia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, people taking bisphosphonates, and autonomic neuropathy. Give your doctor your complete medical history especially of liver and kidney disease, myasthenia gravis, narrow angle glaucoma, gastric retention, prolonged QT interval, ulcerative colitis, and benign prostatic hypertrophy. Inform your doctor about all the prescription and nonprescription medicines that you are taking before using solifenacin succinate. Talk to your doctor about drinking grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
Contraindications
- Solifenacin succinate is contraindicated in people who are allergic to it or to any of its constituents.
- This medicine is contraindicated in people who are suffering from severe hepatic impairment, urinary retention, severe gastrointestinal condition including toxic megacolon, myasthenia gravis, galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or narrow-angle glaucoma.
- This medicine should not be given to people undergoing hemodialysis.
- Solifenacin succinate is contraindicated in people who are suffering from severe renal impairment or moderate hepatic impairment and who are on treatment with a potent CYP3A4 inhibitor.
